Call for graduate students

NAOJ Mizusawa offers you an opportunity to study astronomy and planetary science as a graduate student. Mizusawa is one of the research institutes for SOKENDAI (the Graduate University of Advanced Studies). Students in Mizusawa are encouraged to join one of the existing NAOJ-project of Mizusawa, Mizusawa VLBI Observatory or RISE project office.

There are two ways to study at Mizusawa as a graduate student. One is to be admitted to SOKENDAI, and another is to be accepted as a scholar student. SOKENDAI is a dedicated graduate university to educate top-class researchers by making use of the facilities of inter-university research institutes such as NAOJ. For more information on SOKENDAI, please visit the website of Department of Astronomical Science of SOKENDAI.
