NAO is promoting the most up-to-date education for its graduate students. NAO is jointly making up Graduate University of Advanced Studies with other inter- university research institutes and is providing the Astronomical Science Department with a doctoral course taking three years to complete. The department is made up of four subjects of study: System Technology of Observation, Observational Astronomy, Astronomical Data Analysis, and Cosmic Hierarchical Structures. NAO also accepts graduate students entrusted by universities.
