EAVN is an international VLBI network that combines four VERA telescopes with radio telescopes in Asian countries (Korea, China, Thailand, etc.). It is active in imaging and time-variation studies of jets emanating from black holes. - JVN: Japanese VLBI Network (University VLBI Collaboration in Japan)

VLBI research is also conducted using radio telescopes owned by domestic universities. Participating universities include Ibaraki University, Gifu University, Osaka Prefecture University, Yamaguchi University, and Kagoshima University. The radio telescopes in Ibaraki and Yamaguchi are jointly operated by the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan and local universities, and VERA antennas occasionally participate in JVN observations. - EHT: Event Horizon Telescope

EHT is an international project to observe super-massive black holes by combining millimeter wave radio telescopes around the world to synthesize an Earth-sized observation network. Japanese VLBI personnel are actively involved in the EHT as members, and the ALMA telescope, which the National Astronomical Observatory of Japan contributed greatly to in its construction and operation, also plays a major role in the array. - SKA: Square Kilometer Array

SKA is a future project to realize the next-generation extremely-large radio interferometer. Construction is currently underway through international cooperation, and Mizusawa VLBI Observatory is also considering it as its important future project, including the realization of VLBI observations with the SKA in near future.
