Mizusawa Correlation Center

Correlation processes are conducted at NAOJ Mizusawa campus, where the Mizusawa Software Correlator is located.

Mizusawa Software Correlator

Since 2015 the Mizusawa Software Correlator processes VERA's observational data at a data rate of 1Gps and beyond. It replaced the Mitaka FX hardware correlator, in which Fourier transform was processed in an integrated circuit. The spectral resolution of the Mizusawa Software Correlator is 250 times better than that of the Mitaka FX correlator.
